People Key to SPEED Success
Expertise, solid management and an aligned commitment – that’s what it takes to deliver quality results for the SPEED program. SPEED owes its success to the people that make it happen – those working collaboratively to efficiently develop and deploy the innovative technologies that drive progress towards achieving California’s energy reduction goals.
California Energy Commission (CEC)
As SPEED Contract Manager for the CEC, David Weightman provides a critical connection to CEC staff, communicating priorities for SPEED Program activities based on California’s energy efficiency goals. In addition, he acts as liaison to facilitate updates of technology status information from other PIER projects, as well as feedback of demonstration progress and deployment successes back to CEC staff. David earned an MS in Urban & Regional Planning/Energy Analysis and Policy from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
